Yes, these are fake Polaroid images. Yes, I do actually own a fair number of Polaroid cameras that work plus twice as many more that don't (no film made for them now). No, I can't afford to use them. With the price of food through the goddamn roof followed by the price of diesel and the friggin' price of everything else...

I use an Android app called VNTG that cost about $10 CAD to go ad free. Worth it, even if has a few pecadilloes that annoy me.

The main one is that the 'droid menu at the bottom covers some of the options making them picky to hit. Sloppy that. Otherwise, it's marvelous. It lets you explore a wide variety of vintage classic and toy camera formats with appropriate print outputs. It very much punches above its weight for the price. I'm only using the classic Polaroid format here because it's the one I loved most as a kid, but you'll have lots of fun with you if you get it (try the free version first before paying).

Best of all, I can scratch that Polaroid itch without having to open my wallet.
